DGF Elementary Rebel Kids CareRebel Kids CareRebel Kids Care is a wrap-around childcare program for children 3 years of age through 5th grade who are enrolled in DGF Public Schools. We are open Monday through Friday (before school, after school, non-school days and during the summer). If you have a kindergarten student enrolled and starting at DGF Schools in the fall, your student is eligible to enroll in the summer session prior to starting kindergarten (the three months before they start kindergarten). If you have a student who is in 5th grade, they are eligible to attend Rebel Kids Care the summer prior to starting 6th grade. Tuition is billed bi-weekly. Notification of enrollment: Once you receive confirmation of acceptance, there will be a $50/child (or $100/family) fee to hold your spot. If classes fill, we keep a wait list and notify families when openings come up. All families are encouraged to apply as wait lists change frequently. These screenings help identify any potential developmental, health, or learning concerns early on. What Does the Screening Include? Developmental Screening – Checks cognitive, language, motor, and social skills. Vision & Hearing Tests – Identifies any early signs of issues. Height & Weight Measurements – Assesses growth patterns. Immunization Review – Ensures vaccines are up to date. Health & Family History – Helps identify any concerns that may affect learning. Who Needs a Screening? Children aged 3-5 (ideally around age 3). Driver's EducationOur driver’s education program offers classroom instruction and Behind the Wheel training to prepare students for safe and responsible driving. In the 30 hours of classroom instructions, students will learn traffic laws, road signs, defensive driving techniques, and safety best practices. The Behind-the-Wheel portion provides real-world driving experience under the guidance of a certified instructor, allowing students to practice essential skills such as steering, parking, lane changes, and hazard awareness. These courses are designed to build confidence, improve decision-making on the road, and prepare students for their driving test.Category -
Starting SoonDriver's EducationDriver's EducationDriver's Education classroom training is for individuals who are currently 14 years old or older at the time of the class. Enrollment will be determined strictly by birth date. Students with the earliest birth dates will have the first option to take the class. Priority will be given with the following considerations; age, farm work license, and School activities. The State of Minnesota requires that students are 15 years of age in order to take the permit test. Students who take the class when they are 14 years of age will not receive their blue card until they turn 15. Sign up early to secure your spot. Must attend all 30 hours. Behind the Wheel - Please go onto the Learn 2 Drive website and fill out the contract from. Point of Impact Session: A 90 minute class that teaches you about teen driver risks, laws, and helpful ways to talk to your teen about being a safe driver. Learn how to improve your own driving instruction, and information and tools you can use to support your teen in driving safely. This class provides Supplemental Parental Curriculum -at the conclusion of this class, all parents who attend will receive a Certificate of Completion. Parent/Child ClassesWho attends the classes? Other parents and children just like you What activities are offered? You and your child explore the ECFE room together. Learning activities are provided as well as time for open play. This time also includes a group "Circle Time" of songs and stories. The activities are adjusted for each age group. Parent Discussion time is during the second half of class. A licensed parent facilitator provides resources and guides discussion about child development. When are the classes offered? We offer different sessions of classes each year that include fall, winter and spring sessions. Each session will last between 8-10 weeks.Category -
PreschoolOur preschool program emphasizes activities in all areas of growth and learning. Research-based High Scope curriculum, implemented in classes, teaches children to initiate, discover, experience, and learn about ideas, events, and people. Children will create, experiment, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts as they learn. This approach enhances each young person's growth in the foundations of academics as well as in social-emotional, physical, and creative areas. The development of each child is discussed with parents/guardians. The program includes a diverse grouping of children reflective of our community and inclusive with early childhood special education. Classes run September to May. Tuition fees are billed bi-weekly, they may be reduced or waived depending upon your financial situation.
